Welcome to Katarina K. Valentini Psychotherapy, where compassionate care and proven therapeutic techniques come together to support your emotional and mental well-being whether in individual, couple's, group therapy, or coaching. Regardless if you're seeking relief from anxiety, navigating depression, healing from trauma, dealing with personality disorders, or trying to improve your relationships, I offer integrative-relational psychotherapy to help you overcome life's challenges and achieve lasting personal growth.
I am a qualified integrative-relational psychotherapist, an EAP (European Association of Psychotherapy) certified and IIPA (International Integrative Psychotherapy Association) certified psychotherapist, a psychotherapist trainer, a life coach and a certified YT500 yoga teacher. I am also an author of several books in which I write about different life topics. I specialize in personality disorders, in particular narcissistic and borderline personality disorders, and am qualified to work with other psychological problems and needs, ranging from anxiety, depression, burnout, low self-esteem and relationship problems, to personal growth and development. I also work with the expat community. Being an expat myself, I can appreciate the difficulties that living away from home can bring. I offer therapy in Slovene, English, French and Italian. In my work, I integrate traditional psychotherapy techniques with other techniques and methods such as Brainspotting, EMDR, Mindfulness, yoga and meditation. As an integrative-relational therapist I focus on the therapeutic alliance between the therapist and the client, and tailor the therapeutic approach to each individual. I graduated at the Slovenian institute for psychotherapy where I completed the two-year post graduate program of propedeutics. After that I continued my four-year training in integrative-relational approach at the IPSA institute. I completed a psychopathology course at Harvard University. Like any responsible psychotherapist, I have regular sessions with my supervisor. During my studies and training I did several hundred hours of individual therapy, group therapy, supervision and clinical practice. I regularly attend workshops and trainings in Italy, Spain, the UK, the US, and France. I am interested in traditional psychotherapy as well as in alternative techniques. |
